While I have rare memories of birthday parties, I was invited to some exciting ones for my friends! They were always full of colors, music, brightness, and sweet treats. And today, I want to re-create a favorite sweet treat from among them, no-bake brownie bites!
I think I had my first brownie back in early 2010. I was in 10th grade, and a friend shared a pre-packaged one from their tiffin. It was like any other chocolate cake, with half-meted choco chips, which made it so heavenly.

I was in a strange mood today and wanted some choco slice, maybe an ice cream. But the idea of creating chocolate snacks from what I already have at home felt like a wisp of fresh air! So, the ingredients in this recipe are everything I already have at home.
So, if you want to make some quick and fun brownies for yourself, friends, and even your kids, let us check out my recipe!
How Chocolate Uplifts Moods!

In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, when a dementor attacks Harry on the train to Hogwarts, Remus Lupin saves him and later offers him chocolate. A kid-me thought it was just a sweet gesture. But as I grow old, the importance of chocolate as a mood lifter is crystal-clear.
While this component gives me some tough challenges while using it, I genuinely love all types of desserts. It makes my mother and I happy to find new cake shops while taking a walk or while buying some pastries for well-wishers.
We, at home, love our dark chocolates, so I ensured to use the same for my recipe today!
My Easy and Lazy Brownie Tips
Brownie points if you already do any of these while making brownies at home:
- Most recipe videos and blogs show baking a cake from scratch for brownie tips. Use store-bought cake instead and treat yourself.
- Brownies on sticks look great! But their weight determines if they will stand still. Instead, serve them as chocolate balls in cupcake liners. Easier to hold and eat sans mess.
- Add all types of flavors. Nutty, salty, caramel, berry, lemony, you name it! A chocolate brownie can have all kinds of fillings and garnishes.
- Too lazy to whip heavy cream? Get yourself some white frosting mix and ease out the recipe!
I swear by recipe hacks, especially if it is possible. For kids’ birthdays, a tasty and fun snack beats gourmet luxurious desserts any day. So just like kids, play with your recipe, find some loopholes, and enjoy this culinary journey.
But of course, if you want some mouthwatering, decadent chocolaty inspirations for your homemade brownies, I strongly suggest trying the brownie bites from the Applebees desserts menu. Their nutty, dark chocolate-coated brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream are a heavenly treat!

No-Bake Brownie Bites Recipe

My no-bake brownie recipe is as simple as it gets. I was terrified to see some videos where people used raw flour to create no-bake brownies. Raw flour leads to food poisoning, and you would not want that after a fun party at your place.
So check out my recipe to create your no-bake brownie bites at home in no time!
Step 1: Melt Some Chocolate

Use the double boiler technique to melt around 90 grams of dark chocolate. I opted for 50% dark because the cake I was going to use had rich Dutch chocolate, which is perfect for the dark chocolate coating.
Melt over low heat and keep stirring the chocolate bits/cubes. When the melted chocolate seems smooth, liquidy, and silky, take it off the heat.
Step 2: Crush Your Cake

Get yourself a pre-made cake, preferably from a bakery. But if you do not have one nearby, one from a departmental store will do. For example, I could not find any regular chocolate cake. But found a store nearby with discounted Dutch chocolate muffins.
So like a responsible adult home cook, I bought six.
Put these muffins in a bowl, and crush them. Knead the broken cake till it feels crumbly and semy powdery. I started with four cupcakes and later added two more, so there were enough for six perfect brownie bites.
Step 3: Prepare Whipped Cream
In a separate bowl, add some heavy cream and use your mixer to whip it, till it has stiff peaks. And if you do not have heavy cream at home, try getting some frosting powder.
These are quicker to make and often have a mild sweet taste.
Step 4: Add Whipped Cream to the Cake Batter

I suggest adding the whipped cream in small amounts each time. That way, your brownie batter does not become a semi-liquid cream. Add half a teaspoon each time and start mixing.
When you can create a semi-solid round mold in your palms, it is time to stop adding more frosting.
Step 5: Roll Your Chocolate Brownie

Use your palms to shape the chocolate dough when rolling the brownie balls. It helps to give an even, smooth round shape with no ridges. You can use your fingers to smoothen out the dough lest there are any ridges.
Make around five to six brownie bites and refrigerate them for 20 minutes.
Step 6: Coat Your Brownie Bites

When out of the fridge, your brownie bites will get sturdier and easy to work with. Bring out the melted chocolate, and use a spatula or a spoon to drizzle it over the brownies.
The glistening chocolate cream will take a few minutes to create a soft shell over the bites, making them ready to eat!
These brownie bits are perfect for kids as they can have these sweet snacks in one bite. No mess, just pure fun. Try my recipe out today, and do share your experience.
I would love to know if you have some great hacks for homemade desserts and try them out too!
