Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader Reunion Walkthrough: How to Find Your Companions in Commoragh

Towards the end of Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader‘s Chapter 2, Yrliet will beg you to help her look for the remaining Aeldar in Crannach. You’ll end up at a space station where the Drukharri and Marzhai ambush your party. This ends with your Rogue Trader separated from the rest of their party (and gear) in the Drukkhari city of Commoragh. Before you can leave though, you need to find your missing gear and companions. Here’s how to find your companions in Commoragh during the Reunion quest.

Warnings for Act 3 of Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader

Before we jump into it, you might want to know if there’s content you can miss by not bringing a companion into Act 3. Make sure to bring the following companions with you to the ambush so you can be taken to Commoragh together.

• Sister Argenta – Bring Sister Argenta to find out who killed Theodora von Valancius
• Abelard Werserian – Bring Abelard to get foreshadowing for the ending.
• Yrliet – Yrliet will confess something critical that will piss you off, but don’t draw your bolter yet if you want an easy way out of Commoragh.
• Heinrix – If you’re romancing Heinrix, bring him to Commoragh. He changes a lot during and after this quest.

You’ll also want to save scum during this part of the game because you can permanently lose companions by failing checks here. 

How to Find Your Companions in Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader

Step 1: Trigger the Quest

The Reunion quest doesn’t say this, but you won’t be able to find any of your companions in Commoragh unless you speak to Malice first and finish the One Foot in the Grave quest. After waking up in the corpse pile, fight the Ugly Beggar to get a stim. You’ll need this later when saving Abelard.

After doing that, open your Map and head for the pit. There will be guards along the way and the game will demonstrate how they’ll gut you like a pig by showing a cutscene of an unfortunate escapee. Don’t take that path. There’s a chain that you can walk on. It will be on your left and it will require an Athletics check. Pay attention to the guard rotation before charging ahead. The next area is safe so you should be able to enter the Pit with ease.

Once you’re at the Pit, you need to ask Malice for help. Malice is the Ssylnth in the middle of the map. He’ll ask you to bring him the head of a Commissar. Only then does the Reunion quest really start. 

Step 1: Find Abelard in the Mangled Sector

You will find Abelard in the Mangled Sector of the map. Fortunately, this is also where you have to go to find the Commissar. Make sure you have the stim from the Ugly Beggar ready. Head for the Mangled Elevator on the bottom right of the Chasm map. This will take you up to the Mangled Sector. 

When you get to the Mangled Sector, look to your left and make an Athletics check to jump through an obstacle. Abelard will be on the other side, crawling and delirious with visions about his dead wife. 

You can tell him to come back to his senses with the power of love and friendship or you can give him the stim and call him a day. If you don’t have the stim from the Ugly Beggar, make sure to save before you check.

Step 2: Find Sister Argenta in the Mangled Sector

Keep walking through the Mangled Sector until you get to the right side of the map. When you meet her, she’ll tell you about her new friends and the Commissar. This is the same Commissar that Malice wants you to kill. Try not to antagonize Argenta or she’ll think you’re off your rocker and side with them. The easiest option here is to side with the Commissar and betray malice since you won’t need to make a bunch of hard checks and you’ll need to fight in the Arena anyway.

Do the Arena fight. This triggers the quest to let you see the rest of your companions.

Step 3: Find Jae outside the Anatomical Opera

After your first Arena fight, you’ll find Jae demanding to enter the Anatomical Opera. Tell the guard she’s with you and your party so you can enter together and get Jae back.

Step 3: Find Heinrix, Cassia, and Idiria in the Anatomical Opera

Your quest journal will tell you that Heinrix, Cassia, and Idira are in the Anatomical Opera, but the truth is, you can’t get to them until you finish the first Arena fight. The lab assistant outside the door will tell you to go away if you try to enter before fighting. The Arena isn’t marked on the map. You’ll need to go to the top left side of the map, in the area between the Pit and the Anatomical Opera’s doors. There should be a massive blue portal that you can enter to go to the Arena. 

Finish the fight and return to the Anatomical Opera. Here, you’ll be presented with the option to work with Marazhai and the evil Drukkhari doctor, Tervantias. Marazhai is standing above you on a ledge. You can start recruiting him from here by telling him you should both escape together. Idira will be nearby. Take the headband off her and she should be good to go.

Return to the Arena for a second fight before fetching Heinrix and Cassia. They will be in one of the rooms of the Anatomical Opera, specifically the one to your left after entering. Please note that Heinrix and Cassia are in the same room. Just talk to the lab staff in the room you find Cassia in to get Heinrix out of the tank. 

As you explore the Anatomical Opera, you’ll run into Ulfar. You can negotiate with Tervantias to free the Space Wolf later.

Step 4: Find Yrliet at the Crossing to the Pit

At this point, you should be able to find Yrliet in the same area you passed through on your way to the Pit. At the crossroads, walk towards the area you first walk up in. You’ll see Yrliet with a group of Drukkhari. Talk to her and convince her to come back to you. 

There are varying accounts of when Yrliet appears, but the common thread is that you need to finish an Arena fight first. Do that, and she should be in the right spot.

Step 5: Find Pasqal near the Mangled Elevator

After your first Arena fight, you’ll find Pasqal near the Mangled Elevator that we used to find Abelard earlier. Like Abelard, Pasqal will be tripping out because of post-torture trauma. Save scum here again so you don’t lose him forever.
