Warm up for the space parkour and sharpen those blades, because Warframe has set its sights on the mobile platform!
If you’re as excited as we are about the Warframe Mobile Android release, you’re in for a treat. This guide is your one-stop resource for everything you need to know about the game’s leap to Android. Whether you’re a seasoned Warframe veteran or a newcomer eager to jump into the fray, we have all the info you need.
It’s worth noting that there’s already an iOS version out right now, but with the high specifications and system requirements, your iOS options can be rather limited. It’s not clear yet whether Warframe Mobile for Android will follow suit with the high hardware requirements.
The Wait is Far from Over: Warframe Mobile Android Release Date

First things first: the release date. We know the anticipation has been killing you. We’ve been waiting, speculating, and counting down the days. Thus, we believe that Warframe Mobile is set to launch on Android devices possibly in 2025.
That’s a generous and optimistic estimate, by the way. For all we know, it could take longer for developer Digital Extremes to release Warframe Mobile on the Android platform. So far, the beta phase (closed and open) hasn’t even begun for the Android port yet, though that might be slated for this year.
What to Expect: Warframe Mobile Gameplay

Now, let’s talk gameplay. Warframe Mobile promises to deliver the same thrilling, fast-paced action we’ve come to love on PC and consoles. From engaging in intense, instanced combat to exploring its mini-open-worlds, the mobile version aims to replicate the full Warframe experience on your Android device.
You can expect the full range of movement, intuitive controls, and animations that push the limits of mobile gaming. However, the graphics are where you might feel the compromise as mobile phone screens are much smaller and their hardware is not up to par with the more dedicated gaming consoles and certainly not with the PC.
As for its gameplay model, Warframe is a live-service looter-shooter where the developers add additional content each season to keep gameplay fresh. It’s loot-based, but there are alternate ways to earn rewards apart from mindlessly killing hordes of enemies. The game will also be free-to-play.
A Universe Awakens: Warframe’s Setting and Lore

Warframe‘s universe is an expansive, living canvas painted with the history of the Tenno, the Grineer, the Corpus, and many more factions vying for supremacy and control. It’s set in a distant future. This sci-fi saga unfolds across planets, moons, and the vastness of space outside the solar system, where ancient civilizations and futuristic technology collide.
At the heart of this universe are the Tenno, warriors of blade and gun. They are the masters of the Warframe, biomechanical soldiers made for combat. Awoken from centuries of cryosleep, the Tenno find themselves at war with different factions, each with their own dark agendas.

By the way!
Did you know weโre launching a Kickstarter campaign? In the next few months, our campaign for โGentle Jack: The Party Game for Bad Friendsโ goes live! Visit the official website or follow the Kickstarter page to stay in the loop.
From the militaristic Grineer clones to the profit-driven Corpus, and the mysterious, infected beings known as the Infested, the Tenno must navigate a universe brimming with conflict and secrets.
As a Tenno, you’ll have to discover your past, harness unique abilities, and control Warframes โ advanced suits of armor with incredible powers. Each Warframe offers a new set of skills and playstyles, allowing you to tailor your approach to the challenges ahead. You can thus consider each Warframe as characters, even though they don’t talk much.
Warframe Mobile Android Versions System Requirements

Since it hasn’t even entered its testing phase yet, Warframe Mobile for Android doesn’t have official system requirements yet. However, we can speculate on that based on the iOS version’s system requirements.
For the record, Warframe Mobile for the iOS has the following system requirements:
- iOS 14.0 or later
- A12 Bionic chip or later
The closest hardware in terms of performance to Apple’s A12 Bionic chip would be the Snapdragon 855 or in some cases, the Snapdragon 8150. It’s reasonable to assume that Warframe Mobile on Android would require at least something like that, which is quite high.
It’s certainly not something you’ll find on a budget or lower-end Android phone. Still, there might be a chance that Warframe Mobile for Android would be better optimized and might run on weaker hardware. Don’t keep your hopes up though, it’s a highly demanding game, even for the Nintendo Switch.
Cross-Play and Cross-Save: Stay Connected

One of the most exciting features of Warframe Mobile is the introduction of cross-play and cross-save functionality. This means you can start a mission on your PC, pause, and pick up right where you left off on your Android device. Such was the case for the iOS version.
Your progress, inventory, and Tenno load-outs are synchronized across all platforms, ensuring a seamless gaming experience. Additionally, cross-play allows you to team up with friends regardless of the platform they’re on. This connectivity ensures that the Warframe community remains united, fostering teamwork and altruism among players worldwide.
The release of Warframe Mobile marks a significant milestone in the game’s history. It represents a new frontier, not just for Warframe, but for mobile gaming as a whole. All that’s left is to hope for an earlier release date.
