Sims 2 characters have it all. Whether you like vampires, aliens, or regular people, there are a ton of sims you can play with that already have their own pre-set stories and relationships. This convenient yet in-depth pre-written story system made the gameโs characters some of the best-loved ones in the entire Sims franchise.
That begs the question: Are we going to see any of them in the Sims 5? Electronic Arts, the company behind the Sims, is yet to announce a sequel to the Sims 4 but fans have noticed that they posted several job openings that seem related to the Sims. These roles include character artist, animator, and senior environmental artist. Coupled with statements made by Laura Miele about working on an unspecified Sims game, it really does look like weโre getting Sims 5 soon.
Or, at the very least, a new Sims game spin-off.
In that case, here are some characters from Sims 2 that we wish will make an appearance in the 5th game.
1. Bella Goth
Everybody has their favorites but when it comes to characters that are everybodyโs favorite in the Sims, no one can beat Bella Goth. Bella has been with us since the first Sims game.
Bella was originally called Bella Bachelor and was part of the Bachelor family. Even as a child, sheโs described as sophisticated, having a keen sense of fashion and a love for the arts. Bella went on to marry Mortimer Goth with whom she had Cassandra.
Thereโs a whole mystery about her being abducted by aliens and being last seen with Don Lothario which made fans wonder if the Sims 4 Bella is the original Bella that we have.
Welp, if it happens that the latest Bella isnโt our original Bella, we can at least hope that the Sims 5 introduces an all-new one just for us fans.
2. Agnes Crumplebottom

By the way!
Did you know weโre launching a Kickstarter campaign? In the next few months, our campaign for โGentle Jack: The Party Game for Bad Friendsโ goes live! Visit the official website or follow the Kickstarter page to stay in the loop.
Agnes Crumplebottom is the Sims communityโs favorite grumpy old lady. Like Bella, sheโs been part of the franchise since the first Sims, appearing the Hot Date expansion. Now, you may not have realized this but the Sims 2 Crumplebottom isnโt the same Crumplebottom from the first Sims nor the latter Sims. itโs actually a relative of Agnes who just looks and dresses like her.
Still, since they act alike and are presented to the player as the same character, she may as well be the same person as far as weโre concerned. What made Agnes so fun to have around was how grumpy she was. She was a Karen before Karens. Karen Prime, if you will, is the originator of all rage in the Sims.
Sheโs living at Henford-on-Bagley in the Sims 4 and seems to be relatively happy but itโd be great to see her back in the next game if only to annoy her.
3. Don Lothario
We wouldnโt have as many scandals as we did in the Sims 2 if not for Don Lothario, the franchiseโs controversial lover boy. Unlike the earlier characters, he made his first appearance in the Sims 2. Don lived in Pleasantview and had relationships with both of the Caliente Sisters, Kaylynn Langerak, and Cassandra Goth all at the same time. It gets worse: Bella Goth, Cassandraโs mom, was last scene rejecting Don Lothario before she disappeared.
Alien abduction or violent reaction? There are more clues that Bella was abducted, but Don Lothario the Murderer would be a fun idea to play with if you ever start a Sims 5 save file revolving around the incident.
4. Burglars
Okay, not exactly a specific character, but you gotta admit the absence of burglars in the Sims 4 made you miss the occasional unpredictability of Sims 2. There was just so much in the Sims 2 that the Sims 4 didnโt have, including pools and spiral stairs, when the latest game was first released.
If there had to be one specific burglar weโd want to see, itโs Gordon King. there seems to be a lot of room for fleshing out his story because his character was made with no interest in crime despite him being a burglar. Maybe heโs doing it for kicks? To mess with his friend Dustin Broke? Who knows.
5. Vidcund Curious
Vidcund isnโt as popular as the Sims 2 characters on this list but I personally have a soft spot for the Curious family and if thereโs one curious Iโd like to see in the Sims 5, itโs definitely Vidcund. He has a pretty sad life because while he does have a good career as a scientist, it looks like he never truly moved on from his crush on his childhood friend Circe.
6. Pollination Tech 9 Smith
Back to the fan faves. Pollination Tech 9 Smith is a family man. Well, family alien. He retired on Earth and settled down with Jenny Smith. Fun fact, Jenny is Vicundโs sister!
Pollination Tech 9 has two kids with Jenny Smith and he seems to be enjoying his dadhood given that he has a lot of household maintenance-related skills in both eh Sims 2 and Sims 4. Unfortunately, he doesnโt seem to get that itโs obvious heโs an alien. That, or he really wants other characters to get comfortable around him being an alien.
7. The Pleasant Sisters
The Pleasant sisters make characters #7 and #8 on our list. They were kids during the original Sims and seem to live perfect lives until you realize that thereโs a lot of tension between members of the Pleasant family because their dad is cheating with the maid.
While the sisters look like they have different personalities, they actually have the same traits and aspirations. Itโs just that their parents like Lilith less because sheโs a goth. Their black sheep, golden child dynamic they have is perfect for a Sims 5 drama plotline.
