Omens has changed a lot in a short time. Three months ago the app was functional but rough. Since then we’ve overhauled how Wild Charms and Resolutions work, added the original Gentle Jack character art, built in sound effects (voiced by me, for better or worse), introduced end-game awards and social sharing, added countdown timers for timed cards, and pushed through dozens of smaller fixes that made the whole thing feel less like a prototype and more like an actual game.
v1.6 is the biggest update yet. It’s a visual overhaul, a new player identity system, and a new home on the web. If you’ve played Omens before, it’s going to look and feel different the moment you open it. If you haven’t played it yet, this is a good time to start.

New Home: OmensGame.com
The app now lives at OmensGame.com. Easier to remember, easier to share across the table when someone asks “what are we playing?” The old address still works and redirects automatically, but update your bookmarks when you get a chance.

Redesigned Player Display
Every player now picks an alchemical sigil as their mark at the table. Neptune, Mercury, Jupiter, the Sun, the Moon, Saturn, and more. Tap the sigil on the setup screen to cycle through until you find yours.
As seen on Kickstarter, our brand new party game Gentle Jack is now available on Amazon. Check it out on Amazon →
During play, the active player’s sigil glows. A charm counter appears on each tile showing how many charms are currently weighing on that player. The player grid sits above the draw button, keeping the screen organized even at full player counts.
The Caller
Whoever’s turn it is now gets proper billing. “THE CALLER” sits centered on screen, with the active player’s name rendered large in the Gentle Jack font.
New Header
The top of the screen now has a permanent banner. When things are quiet, it shows the OMENS logo, the URL, and Pepe the rooster. When a Wild Charm fires, the banner slides into blood-red urgency, listing every charm currently binding the table. Tap any charm name to read its terms again.

Better Card Visuals
Cards now fill their type color edge to edge. Charms bleed purple. Wild Charms go red. Resolutions rest in green. Instants run cold blue. You can tell what type of card just hit the table before reading a single word.
Tap Anywhere to Dismiss
When a card is up, tapping anywhere on the screen discards it.

Countdown Timer
Cards with time limits now trigger a built-in countdown. No more grabbing a second phone to time Hot Tomato or Mirror Mirror. The number ticks down on screen with the tension building in the last three seconds.
Pepe the Rooster (Officially)
Pepe is the mascot of the Omens app now. He watches from the header when things are quiet. He runs across the screen when the Cock Wild Charm strikes. He has been here the whole time.

Gentle Jack on Amazon
The physical Gentle Jack card game is live on Amazon. The game end screen, setup footer, and in-game menu all link directly to the listing. If you’ve been playing the app and want the full two-deck experience at your next game night, it’s right there.
Under the Hood
Sound presets now work even when muted (tapping one auto-unmutes). Longer player names truncate cleanly on small tiles. The logo swaps to a compact version on narrow screens. Responsive tile sizing means 8 players still fit comfortably. Countless smaller fixes to animations, timing, and layout.
Coming Next
Card content continues expanding toward our 400-card goal. And we’ll be polishing the sigil and player display based on how v1.6 plays in the wild.
