Given to players for free by completing the Trailblaze Mission ‘Lying in Rust,’ Natasha is one of the two healers that was released in Honkai: Star Rail’s (HSR) launch.
Described as fastidious and kind, this Path of Abundance doctor works tirelessly to keep party members healthy for all the battles that Trailblazers would face in their journey across the stars.
Make sure never to get on her bad side by learning how to build her character and level her abilities with this guide.
Best Relic Set and Ornament for Natasha
There are a couple of relic sets that Natasha can use to great effect.
The first would be using the 4-piece Musketeer of Wild Wheat set. You can use this set if you’d like for Natasha to provide additional support to the team apart from her healing through a little more speed and damage. You can find these relics in Treasures or earn them as a reward in the Path of Drifting of the Cavern of Corrosion.
The Musketeer of Wild Wheat set gives the following set bonuses:
- 2-Piece Bonus – ATK increases by 12%.
- 4-Piece Bonus – The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.
You can also make use of the Passerby of Wandering Cloud set. The bonuses that this set gives are geared toward improving Natasha’s healing capabilities. Farming for this set can be efficient as it can be obtained from the same domain as the Musketeer of the Wild Wheat.
Here are the effects that you’d get with the Passerby of Wandering Cloud set:
- 2-Piece Bonus – Increases Outgoing Healing by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus – At the beginning of the battle, immediately recovers 1 Skill Point.
There’s also the option of mixing the two with 2 pieces in Musketeer of Wild Wheat and 2 pieces in Passerby of Wandering Cloud. It’s considered to be less effective than its full-set counterparts, but it could be a viable option if you are struggling to get the right pieces for a full set.
As for Planar Ornaments, you cannot go wrong with the Fleet of the Ageless set for support characters like Natasha. This ornament can be obtained from World 3 of the Simulated Universe.
For reference, using a full set of Fleet of the Ageless gives:
- 2-Piece Bonus – Increases the wearer’s Max HP by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies’ ATK increases by 8%.
Natasha benefits from the increase the Fleet of the Ageless gives to her Max HP as all of her healing scales off of that stat. There’s also the conditional effect of providing the party with an additional 8% boost to their ATK once your Natasha reaches a SPD stat of 120 or higher.
Stats to Prioritize for Natasha
Equipping the right relic set is only half the battle. Players should also look into getting the right main stats on their relics.
Here are the main stats that you should aim to get on your relics:
- Body: HP% or Outgoing Healing
- Feet: SPD
- Orb: HP%
- Line: HP%
HP% stacking is easily the best way to improve Natasha’s abilities, as all of her healing is computed based on her Max HP. You can stack these on her body piece as well as both of her Planar Ornament pieces. There’s also the alternative of running Outgoing Healing on her Body piece if an HP% piece is not available. Using SPD boots on Natasha can be worthwhile to help her not only reach the conditional effect of her ornament but also ensure that she gets to heal often.
Since most of her main stats would already be HP%, Speed becomes her ideal substat. If a piece is not running HP% on its main, then HP% is a must in its substats. DEF% is another substat that would do wonders in improving Natasha’s bulk. This will let her survive more hits before needing to heal herself, thereby allowing her to use her healing on other characters who would need it more. Natasha’s substats should support her playstyle of ‘healing big and healing often.’
Best Light Cone for Natasha
The 5-star variety usually ends up as any character’s best-in-slot light cone, and for Natasha, the Abundance exclusive ‘Time Waits for No One’ provides her with some excellent effects.
Here’s an explanation of the ‘Time Waits for No One’ effects:
- Increases the wearer’s Max HP by 18/21/24/27/30% and Outgoing Healing by 12/14/16/18/20%. When the wearer heals allies, record the amount of Outgoing Healing. When any ally launches an attack, a random attacked enemy takes additional DMG equal to 36/42/48/54/60% of the recorded Outgoing Healing value. This additional DMG is of the same Type as the wearer’s, is not affected by other buffs, and can only occur 1 time per turn.
Natasha may be a doctor, but with this light cone, she’s not afraid to dish out some damage of her own either. Apart from giving Natasha fantastic buffs to her Max HP and her Outgoing Healing, this light cone turns a percentage of her healing into damage. This can only occur once per turn, is unaffected by buffs, and the damage is considered as the same type as its wearer, which is Physical DMG if you’re running this on Natasha. With all of these effects, players are guaranteed to get big heals with a good chunk of damage as well.
If you’re looking to get this Light Cone for the Underworld’s best caregiver, you can get it from either Warping or by buying it from the Starlight Exchange for 600 Undying Starlight.
Budget Alternative
If you are lacking in the 5-star light cone department, Natasha’s 4-star options are not to be dismissed when it comes to its usefulness. Post-Op Conversation and Warmth Shortens Cold Nights are some of the notable light cones that are easier to collect.
The Light Cone Post-Op Conversation grants these bonuses:
- Increases the Energy Regeneration Rate of its wearer by 8/10/12/14/16% and increases Outgoing Healing when they use their Ultimate by 12/15/18/21/24%.
On the other hand, Warmth Shortens Cold Nights gives these effects:
- Increases the wearer’s Max HP by 16/20/24/28/32%. When using Basic ATK or Skill, restores all allies’ HP by an amount equal to 2/2.5/3/3.5/4% of their respective Max HP.
Post-Op Conversation, which features Natasha hard at work, synergizes very well with her support kit with the boost to her Energy Regeneration Rate and to the Outgoing Healing of her Ultimate, Gift of Rebirth. Warmth Shortens Cold Nights not only increases Natasha’s Max HP but also integrates healing into everything that Natasha does by allowing her Basic ATK and skill to provide a little bit of area-of-effect (AoE) healing.
3-star Light Cones are often considered inferior to their higher rarity counterparts due to the disparity between the stats and effects that it gives to their wearer. However, they make up for the lack of stats and better effects by being much easier to superimpose. Superimposition is the ability to enhance a light cone’s effects by merging duplicates of a light cone into one. Unless you are a gacha whale, it’s usually not advisable to superimpose higher rarity light cones since they are much harder to obtain. It’s because of this that the 3-star Light Cone ‘Cornucopia’ becomes an option for any healer character like Natasha to consider.
Equipping Cornucopia produces the following bonuses:
- When the wearer uses their Skill or Ultimate, their Outgoing Healing increases by 12/15/18/21/24%.
Maxing Cornucopia’s superimposition level requires fewer resources like Stellar Jades to obtain compared to pulling for higher rarity Light Cones. They also take fewer credits and materials to level up. So if you’re looking to find something cost-effective to use, these are the light cones that we’d recommend for Natasha.
Natasha Skill Priorities
Here are Natasha’s skills as follows:
- Behind the Kindness (Basic ATK) – Natasha’s basic ATK deals Physical DMG equal to 50 to 110% of Natasha’s ATK to a single enemy.
- Love, Heal, and Choose (Skill) – Natasha’s skill restores a single ally for 7 to 11% of Natasha’s Max HP plus 70/280/312. It also gives them a regen effect at the beginning of each turn for 2 turns, restoring the ally for another 5 to 8% of Natasha’s Max HP plus 48/192/214.
- Gift of Rebirth (Ultimate) – Natasha’s Ultimate heals all allies for 9 to 15% of Natasha’s Max HP plus 92/368/409.
- Innervation (Talent) – When healing allies with an HP percentage at 30% or lower increases Natasha’s Outgoing Healing by 25 to 55%. This effect also works on continuous healing.
- Hypnosis Research (Technique) – Immediately attacks the enemy. After entering battle, deal Physical DMG equal to 80% of Natasha’s ATK to a random enemy, with a 100% base chance to Weaken all enemies. While Weakened, enemies deal 30% less DMG to allies for 1 turn(s).
Here’s how we would prioritize her skills:
- Ultimate (Gift of Rebirth)
- Skill (Love, Heal, and Choose)
- Talent (Innervation)
- Basic ATK (Behind the Kindness)
Players can consider Natasha’s Ultimate as the ultimate emergency button for when your party takes too much consecutive damage in a turn. It’s for this reason that maxing her Ultimate first should be your priority when it comes to leveling her up. Additional levels to her Skill allow for greater heals and health regen, while levels to her Talent improve Natasha’s Outgoing Healing the lower her target’s health gets. Though it is far from being a priority, leveling her Basic ATK is good as chip damage for when no one on your team is in current need of healing.
Leveling these skills will take up the following resources:
Ancient Part (Tier 1) | Seed of Abundance (Tier 1) | Lots of Credit |
Ancient Spindle (Tier 2) | Sprout of Life (Tier 2) | Guardian’s Lament |
Ancient Engine (Tier 3) | Flower of Eternity (Tier 3) | Tracks of Destiny |
While some of these resources can be farmed by defeating enemies on the map, you can only get resources like the Flower of Eternity with the use of Trailblaze Power. Since Trailblaze Power is limited, players should pick wisely on which resources they want to spend it on.
Best Natasha Team Compositions
Natasha’s role is undeniably that of a healer, and can honestly slot into any team that does not have a reliable way of mitigating damage, like shielding. Like a caring big sister, she excels in keeping frailer party members healthy. Though she is quite bulky herself, she would still need to work with a taunter or tank to keep everyone safe and sound.
The following characters would love to include Natasha in their teams:
- Powerful DPS characters like Seele or Yanqing (Can’t take a hit to save their life)
- Taunters like Trailblazer (Fire) (To redirect enemy aggro from Natasha)
- Buffers like Tingyun or Bronya (Keep them alive so they’ll keep buffing)
- Tanks like Gepard or Clara (Will need healing after absorbing lots of damage)
There’s no one way to build a team, and it will vary depending on your preferred playstyle. If your team ever needs a healer, though, Natasha can easily put up a clinic that will suit all your healing needs.
