When it comes to range, Honkai: Star Rail (HSR)’s Lightning Element has it all. The element’s characters let you choose from nearly every Path you need to make a full, well-rounded team. The current roster of Lightning characters includes everything from buffers to healers to DPS. here’s everything you need to know about the Lightning Element.
What is Lightning Element and Lightning Damage in Honkai: Star Rail?

Lightning is one of seven elements that a playable character is assigned in the game. Using Lightning to lower the Toughness bar of an enemy will result in the Lightning Weakness Break. Enemies who have their Toughness removed enter the Broken State, leaving them vulnerable to other types of damage that aren’t the elements they’re weak against.
After triggering the Lightning Weakness Break, your character deals an instance of Lightning DMG on the enemy. This is followed by the Shock effect, which deals Lightning DoT.

Lightning Element Characters in Honkai: Star Rail
There are currently five characters in Honkai: Star Rail that deal Lightning damage, and what’s even better is that they’re a good mix of DPS and support, giving you tons of options to work with.
1. Jing Yuan (The Erudition, 5-star)
Jing Yuan and his Lightning Lord spirit is a Lightning character capable of launching an offensive on enemies, even if it’s not his turn. Jing Yuan provides follow-up attacks and strong attacks of his own that deal AoE Lightning damage, making him a solid sub DPS for your team.

By the way!
Did you know we’re launching a Kickstarter campaign? In the next few months, our campaign for ‘Gentle Jack: The Party Game for Bad Friends‘ goes live! Visit the official website or follow the Kickstarter page to stay in the loop.
2. Serval (The Erudition, 4-star)
Another great sub-DPS, Serval deals tons of AoE Lightning DMG that’s good for breaking Toughness bars. Serval scales with the Attack stat, so make sure to give her a lot of Attack alongside Lightning DMG bonus Relics.
3. Arlan (The Destruction, 4-star)
Arlan is an HP scaling Destruction character that deals Lightning DMG. His kit rewards him for taking down enemies and being on the receiving end of damage, as he can be healed as a consequence of either event, depending on whether you have certain Traces activated.
4. Tingyun (The Harmony, 4-star)
An exceptional support, Tingyun can increase her team’s Energy Regeneration, damage, or Attack. She doesn’t deal a lot of damage herself, but her ability to increase the team’s overall damage makes her a fantastic addition to any team. Not to mention, her Lightning DMG isn’t something to scoff at if you don’t have another Lightning character to trigger a Weakness break with.
5. Bailu (The Abundance, 5-star)
Bailu is currently the best healer in the game, providing enough healing to get your team through all of the overworld content without needing to bring a shielder. Bailu also deals substantial Lightning DMG, just in case you need a Break effect to happen.
