If you are playing Honkai: Star Rail (HSR) and want to learn about the Shadows of Destruction, keep reading!
Just like how Genshin Impact’s Travelers get stronger with Constellations, HSR‘s Trailblazers do the same with Eidolon Resonance, meaning they obtain copies of their characters by completing story quests.
By this method, they also choose a path and an element to follow. There are 7 elements in the game, the first being the Physical element and The Destruction path. And the Physical and Destruction Trailblazerโs Eidolons are known as the Shadows of Destruction!
How does the Trailblazer get Destruction Path and Physical Element?
Before we answer this, let us get a short understanding of Paths and Elements.
Character Paths are the classes and jobs they have, which help them synergize with their team members. It helps to strategize game plans and utilize their full power potential!
Character Elements are assigned elements like:
These elements determine their damage potential to enemies with the same elemental weakness, lowering their Toughness gauge.
The Physical Element Trailblazer follows the Path of Destruction. This Element throws out massive physical damage by triggering the Physical Weakness Break in the targetted enemies.ย
The Path of Destruction is 1 of the 7 Paths in HSR and offers massive damage potential, as well as abilities that raise Trailblazer’s sustainability in battles.
The Path of Destruction and Physical Element is obtainable as the Trailblazer journeys to vanquish enemies, activating their Physical Eidolon, i.e., Shadows of Destruction.
These are available from main quests, as level-up rewards, and in-game shops.
What is the Shadow of Destruction?
The Shadow of Destruction is a Physical Trailblazer’s Eidolon for the Path of Destruction. These are 6 Shadows, and all are Trailblazer-exclusive, as it is the only way to raise their Eidolon Resonance!
Each of these 6 Shadows amps up the Trailblazer’s stats and abilities, like-
- E1 (A Falling Star): Once per Ultimate attack, Trailblazer regenerates 10 extra energy after defeating enemies.
- E2 (An Unwilling Host): When Trailblazer attacks an enemy with Physical Weakness, they regain HP equal to 5% of the Attack
- E3 (A Leading Whisper): +2 Skill Level till Level 15 max, and +2 Talent Level till Level 15 max
- E4 (A Destructing Glance): The Trailblazer’s CRIT rate boosts by 25% when attacking enemies with a Weakness Break
- E5 (A Surviving Hope): +2 Basic Atk Level till Level 15 max, and +2 Ultimate Level till Level 15 max.
- E6 (A Trailblazing Will): Upon defeating an enemy, the Trailblazer’s Talent gets triggered.
How to Get the Eidolons
As mentioned above, Eidolons are HSR‘s version of Genshin Impact’s character constellations. They are copies of a character that help unlock and use additional abilities.
All regular character Eidolons are available through banners. However, you cannot get copies of the Trailblazers the same way.
For Trailblazer Eidolons, there are main quests, rewards, and various other fun and adventurous methods, which will make you want to play more!
