The latest developments in Honkai: Star Rail have left a lot of players giddy and speculative about the near future of the game, specifically Honkai Star: Rail 1.3. And as sure as the sun rises in the East, there will be some juicy Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 leaks to share with you. It’s expected to drop right around August 30, 2023, which is still more than a month from now.
That’s a few days after Kafka’s banner.
Now, our attitudes with Honkai: Star Rail leaks remain the same– Update 1.3 is no exception. Take them with a grain of salt, as HoYoverse can change or mix up speculated information on a whim. Still, the Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 leaks are too exciting not to discuss, what with the current state of the game’s story.
So here’s what you can possibly expect.
Dan Heng Just Got an Upgrade
The latest story mission has given us a glimpse and a trial of Dan Heng’s potential. What was once a tame and unexciting 4-star character has revealed his true form– that of a dragon whose real Path is Destruction and whose Element is Imaginary.
Also, he’s a 5-star character now, with corresponding aesthetic changes to make him look more ethereal and worth it. Dan Heng with horns, also known as Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae, is now looming ever closer.
Those who have played the Trailblaze Mission, ‘Oblation Obtained, Order Ordained, ’ will have already familiarized themselves with the play style and the general feel of this new Dan Heng.
There are also several significant changes to the character that reinforces the difference between Imbibitor Lunae and 4-star Dan Heng. For one, Imbibitor Lunae doesn’t use 4-star Dan Heng’s signature spear and prefers to fight like a mage.
Moreover, the design differences are more distinct and easy to identify, with the 5-star Dan Heng having a more flowy attire and more makeup with sharper ears apart from the horns.
His role in combat won’t change much, however, as he’ll still be a damage dealer, except his scope is now wider, being in The Destruction Path instead of The Hunt.
Likely Slated for Phase 1
Speculations point to Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae being the first big character in the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail 1.3. He’ll be trailing closely a few days after Kafka’s banner is over, and Update 1.2 has concluded its run, as per the previous updates.
It’s worth noting that Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae had already teased long before the game’s release through drip marketing. The Imbibitor Lunae form was part of the game’s promotional artwork in the past, and a lot of people already figured out that it’s also Dan Heng and not a sibling.
Fu Xuan, Finally
She has also been teased in the Trailblazer Missions as an overpowered woman who can move faster than bullets by predicting fortunes. For that matter, Fu Xuan also manages the whole Xianzhou Luofu route with her fortune-telling powers and extreme foresight.
Even Kafka is no match for her, and she’s the one who captured the notorious Stellaron Hunter, earning her an impressive reputation.
As for Fu Xuan’s role and combat abilities, here’s a quick look:
Not exactly what you expected? The Preservation Path characters are more suited for protecting their teammates and giving them shields– they’re not exactly bruisers though that probably also means Fu Xuan will have a longer relevance in the meta compared to damage dealers who are easily power-crept.
Meanwhile, the Quantum Element is a nice touch as you don’t have to throw in a character who deals that kind of damage for Weakness Breaks. The splash art and the aesthetic choice, however, could have easily suggested Lightning as her Element.
Like Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan has also been marketed in advance through promotional art.
Like Slated for Phase 2
It’s not confirmed, of course, but you can expect Fu Xuan to appear right after Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae is done with his limited run.
That should be around 21 days after August 30, 2023, or sometime around September 20, and she should last until October 11.
There’s still a chance that HoYoverse could switch up the two characters’ banners though that’s not really much of a difference if you’re waiting for either of them. It’s just a longer or shorter wait.
Lynx Joins the Family
It turns out Gepard and Serval have another sibling, the youngest in their Landau family, Lynx.
She’s also rightfully named after a big cat, much like her older siblings (with Gepard being a wordplay for Leopard).
Lynx is a 4-star character who comes with the following role or classification:
- The Abundance Path
- Quantum
Thank goodness that they finally released another 4-star healer after having only two 5-star ones in addition to Natasha. Lynx’s Quantum Element should also come in handy for Weakness Breaks.
Also Likely Slated for Phase 2
Apparently, Lynx will be released alongside Fu Xuan or in the Phase 2 banner of Honkai: Star Rail 1.3.
That could also mean there’s an accompanying Companion Mission or maybe a dedicated questline that should take players back to Jarilo-VI or Belobog. Don’t expect much, though, as Fu Xuan is easily the spotlight for Phase 2, and she’ll have her own dedicated introductory quest, as is customary for most 5-star characters.
On a parting note, we would like to remind everyone that these are just leaks and mere suggestions. Until HoYoverse holds a livestream detailing banner information for Update 1.3, no information here is set in stone.
A lot of things could still change for these Honkai: Star Rail 1.3 leaks, and you might want to keep checking this page periodically before August 30, 2023, as we might update it depending on new information. The bigger question is, when are we going to get a 5-star March 7th?
