Two words: cute animals.
We all know that Twitter is a cesspool of hate and negativity on the internet. It’s where people go to vent their dislike over the most minor things and start fan wars. But despite Twitter’s overall โจbad vibesโจ, there are still accounts that serve as beacons of joy in the dark abyss of the internet.
This is where Twitter’s cute animal accounts come in.

Unlike regular cute animal pages, these Twitter accounts have a specific flavor of cute animal photos. You can pick from cute animals with jobs, cute animals being weird, cute animals getting petted, cute animals getting rated, and cute animals so cute the account insists they can cure your depression.
Break up the Negativity in Your Feed With Cute Animals From These Twitter Accounts
1. Cats With Jobs
Look at that cute kitten. It’s sitting in front of its computer doing its silly little tasks, maybe even writing silly little words.
Maybe it’s a content writer for A Little Bit Human. Maybe our editorial team is secretly made up of cats. You can’t tell because this is the internet and on the internet, no one knows you’re a cat (until 4Chan doxxes you).
Now that looks like a cat that can shoot a short film. Or maybe it’s taking stock photos? Either way, we know it’s getting compensated properly because @CatsWorkers says all of their worker cats are unionized.
2. Animals Going Goblin Mode
Animals are cute, but they’re also kind of weird. If you’ve had a pet before or have one now, we both know pets do some pretty weird stuff when we’re not looking. Sometimes it’s so weird that you know no one will believe you unless you have pics or a video.
@mischiefanimals is Twitter’s answer for all the weird pet moments we pet owners have experienced but didn’t get on camera. The account is full of bizarre (and funny) photos and videos of pets doing weird things โ the ultimate in pet cuteness.
Animals Going Goblin Mode also shares clips of animals that aren’t pets doing creepy stuff. Take for example this video of ducks terrorizing a camper in what appears to be a low-budget recreation of that one scene in The Shining except there are multiple Jacks involved.
Scary? Yes, you would be wise to respect the terrifying majesty of ducks, but it’s still cute animals being cute.
3. Cats Being Weird Little Guys
Cats Being Weird Little Guys is the tamer version of Animals Going Goblin Mode for cats. The account usually has photos of cats doing unexplainable things that can only be described as “cat.exe has crashed” and cats doing strangely human-like things, such as this cat playing video games.
Now, whether this is true for cats or not isn’t known. But studies have shown that dogs tend to take on the personality traits of their owners and, science aside, we pet owners know by experience that some very smart pets try to copy human activities.
Conclusion? The cat’s owner is a gamer and the cat is sick of not getting petted while its owner plays games so now it’s learning how to be Player 2.
Aside from mimicking human traits, cats are totally scientifically proven to be able to copy the physical properties of liquids. Don’t believe me? Watch this video of a cat flowing down a staircase.
That’s evidence.
4. We Rate Dogs
We Rate Dogs is the original Twitter cute animals account where dogs get rated for how cute they are. Spoiler alert: they get rated highly all the time because that’s what good bois and girls deserve.
Sometimes, though, We Dog Rates get rate requests for cute animals that aren’t even dogs.
5. Can You Pet the Dog
Did you know you can nuzzle against other cats in Stray, one of the anticipated game releases of 2022?
Can You Pet the Dog is a Twitter account for gamers who hate it when games don’t let them pet digital dogs. Why is this an issue? Because even electronic cute animals deserve love. Despite its name, Can You Pet the Dog tweets info on which games let you pet in-game animals, whether they’re cats, horses, or something more exotic, like a cryptid.
This cryptid, to be specific.
6. I’ve Pet That Dog
I’ve Pet That Dog is the real-life version of Can You Pet the Dog? if the account actually revolved around just dogs.
This Twitter account dedicated to cute animals is run by the mother of 13-year-old Gideon, a boy who likes petting dogs. Talk about a man of taste. Sometimes, though, Gideon won’t pet a dog because it doesn’t want head pats.
7. Cats of Instagram
Except they’re on Twitter.
The Cats of Instagram is a Twitter account that collects cute photos and clips of cats on Instagram and puts them in one easy-access spot where you can watch cats lie down in luggage and…well, whatever’s going on with the cat in this next video is.
8. Perritos Que Curan Tu Depresiรณn
Perritos Que Curan Tu Depresion is a Twitter account with cute dogs doing funny things that are sure to, as the account’s name implies, cure your depression. For legal purposes that is not medical and/or psychiatric advice nor does A Little Bit Human make any therapeutic claims about the emotional healing capabilities of these dogs.
9. Translated Cats
Translated Cats gathers photos and videos of cats with captions in different languages and translates them into English using an AI so you get both cute animals and โจscienceโจ in one account.
Translated Cats has come under fire from people who don’t get the point of the account because of its odd use of words. But joke’s on them because the Translated Cats AI just gets more powerful with time as it learns more about translation.
See? Sometimes it’s 100% correct.
Cute animals are the best, but the animal kingdom is strange and spooky. If you’re sick of watching pets be adorable, check out these scary animals that will make you stay inside forever (where you can watch more cute animal videos).
