Can you hold your drink and your cards flawlessly? My friends and I love to engage in social drinking scenes. Just a group of close pals, a glass in hand, and some fun games to indulge in while drunk out of our minds!
And the best part about drinking card games is: win or lose, you get to chug your booze!
We are not talking about serious card games that need us to focus, strategize, and play politics to win a tabletop war. Believe me; I like a hardcore card or board game as much as the next person. But when tipsy, I like to play games that get my adrenaline to a whole new level!

I am listing all my favorite card games while drunk. Of course, before I begin, I wish to convey that:
- Always drink responsibly
- Book a cab to return home
- Consent always. Being drunk is not an excuse for an uncomfortable nuisance.
1. Cards Against Humanity

If you can name 1 person you know who hates this game, drink! Cards Against Humanity brings absolutely fun-filled filth to the table. The main game box comes with 100 black cards and 500 white cards. All black cards are either quests or fill-in-the-blank prompts.
The white cards are random answer phrases and texts, each dirtier than the rest. Sometimes you might even find a seemingly innocent answer card, but the way you use it can earn you points!
CAH is for groups of all sizes! You can play with your closest few friends or extend the challenge to over 20 participants for hours of fun! Now this game is for 17+ ages, so keep the kids away.
How to Play?
- Each round starts with a new Card Czar, who picks one black question card while the others draw up to 10 white cards.
- The Czar then calls out the black card’s prompt to have all other players offer one white card each as a reply.
- White cards should face down.
- The Czar then shuffles up the white cards facing down and reads out the now-anonymous answers!
- The answer that pleases the Czar wins the game!
- And the card’s winner takes a shot!
- The next turn starts with a new Card Czar!
If you want to win, your answers need to be wacky, immoral, dark, questionable, and straight out of the gutter. one
So if a black card reads:
“Betcha can’t have just one!”

By the way!
Did you know weโre launching a Kickstarter campaign? In the next few months, our campaign for โGentle Jack: The Party Game for Bad Friendsโ goes live! Visit the official website or follow the Kickstarter page to stay in the loop.
Your answer can be:
“Ebola Virus Outbreak”
The loonier your answer card, the more chances you have to win! So if you are dying to take a shot of your favorite booze, make your replies count in Cards Against Humanity.
2. Shots No Chaser Under The Influence

What if you want to make your drinking night more risquรฉ? Then check out Shots No Chaser Under The Influence, a drinking card game for boozers who stop at nothing!
The core game set is affordable and is perfect for a drink-crazed, exciting game night with friends! And if you are not scared to try something you might regret the next morning, this game is for you.
Take this game as an adult version of the truth and dare but with wilder and more scandalous deeds! It is THE game for a pre-game party game session and turns outrageously hilarious in no time.
You can have 4 to 12 people playing this game and turn this night lit! Since most questions and dares are shocking, only those above 21 years can participate.
The box features 400 cards that you divide into 4 different decks. And they all have different whacky themes like:
- Brain Benders
- Who’s Who?
- Under the Influence
- Shots No Chaser
How to Play?
Brain Benders (blue cards) have direct questions. If you answer correctly, drink!
Who’s Who (green cards) prompts the player to name someone in the room that fits the answer to the card. If the answer is correct, the target drinks!
Under the Influence (red cards) tells the picker what to do. It can be as simple as “Chug your whole drink!” or answer something racy with complete honesty. If you can’tโdrink!
Lastly, Shots No Chaser (black cards) are sinful dares. But is someone licking you too much of a risk? No problem, as the shots are yours.
All cards fall under ranges from parent-approved to super-raunchy (level 3).
It is a lively, interactive, and messy little game from an ambitious small, black-owned business. So if you are down to have fun, and support small businesses and the black community, try out Under The Influence!
3. Sotally Tober

By far, this is the best pre-game drinking card game, in my opinion. The name sounds slurred, dazy, and incorrect, but in a playful way. Exactly how a tipsy person talks! And in this game, if you lose, you win! Because the loser takes the shot.
Also, since this is a playful casual game, you can stop this at any time. There is no winning here, just drinking. Honestly, winning here is boring. You can only win if you are totally sober. And that doesn’t sound as fun as Sotally Tober!
When alcoholic beverages pour around you, whip out this card game for all!
Totally Tober is a quick and easy game with no complicated rules. So brainstorming is necessary for some tipsy fun times. All the cards are bright and colorful, with large fonts so your hazy eyes can read without wasting a sip.
Now, make sure everyone is an adult at the table, as some cards are shocking and a bit scandalous for the young mind.
How to Play?
There are 125 cards in total that you have to shuffle and stack in 5 decks.
- Activity cards (Orange)
- Skill cards (Green)
- Curse cards (Blue)
- Secret cards (Yellow)
- Decree cards (Pink)
- For each turn, draw a card from the deck.
- Each card tasks the player with 1 job, curse, or secret power for a few turns
- Failure to meet the card’s requirement makes the target drink!
For example, an Activity Card has fun tasks like having a staring contest. If you lose, you drink!
A Skill Card gives an effect that only the cardholder can use. If the card affects you, failing means you drink. But, some cards, such as “Whenever you cross your arms, other players must freeze. Last to do so must drink,” target your opponents as failures.
The Curse Cards, on the other hand, only affect the player who drew them.
Secret Cards give players hidden powers, like giving someone else a card or helping them from losing, but at a cost.
Lastly, Decree Cards affect all players, and the player must keep them face up on the table.
While some Sotally Tober cards are instant, some stay active for multiple rounds. And the fun part is that in each round, at least 1 person ends up taking a shot!
4. These Cards Will Get You Drunk

The game does exactly what its name says. So if you want your friends’ group to get woozy, chill, and enjoy the games, bring out this card game and let the shots pour!
These Cards Will Get You Drunk is simplicity redefined. No need to sit your friends down and hashing their mellow by explaining pages of rules.
You can play with just 1 person or build up to an 8-player base for an hour or so of lighthearted, boozy fun! Not to forget, unlike many other card games, this one comes with no instruction pamphlet!
Instead, the rules are on the back of the box and are within a few sentences.
It is a pocket-friendly card game for house parties, beach parties, casual meetups, etc., and you can easily buy it online!
How to Play?
The rules are as simple and easy to follow:
- Shuffle the 100 cards and keep them faced down
- Each turn, a player draws a card and follows what is written
- Failure to carry out the card’s task means you drink!
- The turn then moves clockwise to the next person.
Some cards are on-your-face tasks. Cards telling you to drink or prompting the person next to you to drink, to name a few. But as the buzz gets louder, you will start drawing cards like “Everyone Wearing Glasses Drinks,” or cards you can save for screwing someone’s turn later.
For example, the game has a card you can keep, and play during someone else’s turn, making them drink double.
All in all, These Cards Will Get You Drunk is all about having fun, dunking shots, and getting ready for the weekend nights with your buddies.
5. You Laugh You Drink

By now, almost everyone knows Pewdipie’s famous video trope, “You Laugh, You Lose.”
You Laugh You Drink follows the same rules. Except, any time you chuckle a little, bottoms up!
The game is available at a reasonable price and is ideal for any situation. Be it during a chill get-together where everyone’s a little stoned or during a house party where your buddies want a reason to drink extra shots!
This game’s rules are similar to “These Cards Will Get You Drunk,” except the cards do not ask players to get drunk.
Here in YLYD, each card tells the player to do something hilarious and goofy. Sometimes actions are a tad bit sleazy or flirtatious too. Of course, you should only carry them out if others are comfortable.
And if what you are doing makes others chuckle, they drink! The aim is to keep a straight face as your friends act like hatching butterflies or do a shy version of the Magic Mike strip dance.
And if your face contorts to a seeming smile, you are down for a drink. And the in-game term for that is the “sip of shame.”
But it is never shameful when it is drinking with your friends, so laugh and booze!
The Takeaway
All in all, drinking card games are all about enjoying some intoxicated, silly, and exciting time with your friends.
These games will get you lit and tipsy so you can enjoy the moment with your buddies on a weekend night without a care in the world.
I love getting a little tipsy with my closest friends and enjoying various games to make cherishable memories, and I hope you do too!
