Easily one of the most confusing and convoluted watch orders in TV and film history, the Arrowverse spans 8 different shows with a combined 41 seasons and 723 episodes. If you plan on watching this bad boy from start to finish, buckle up and get a tub of popcorn because it’s going to take a while.
The release of Arrow in 2012 kicked it all off and began DC’s combined universe where Green Arrow, the Flash, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Batwoman, and a host of other superheroes coexist, often teaming up or clashing as they deal with doomsday plots and big bad evil characters.
The shows themselves are entertaining, but fans began to get overwhelmed with the amount of content out there (did we mention there are 723 episodes? Well, just to remind you, 723 episodes). Thankfully, the Arrowverse is coming to a close, and fans can begin to put a dent in that mind-boggling number of episodes, as The Flash’s ninth season just recently concluded on May 24th, 2023.
There will undoubtedly be crossovers where certain characters pop up in other DC works, but the Arrowverse will be mostly closed, with no new major developments in the works as of right now.
If you’re interested in every series in the Arrowverse, here are all 8, ordered by the year they started.

And there you have it—the ultimate (and correct) watch order for the entirety of the Arrowverse. We recommend copying and pasting it and deleting episodes/seasons line by line as you watch them to help keep your place, as there’s no way you’re binge-watching this in a day, let alone a week or even a month.
Do I need to watch the Arrowverse in order?

Not necessarily. You can easily watch whichever shows within the universe that interests you and skip the ones that don’t. You can even watch all of them in order from start to finish without following the chronological timeline laid out above.
That said, you might be a little confused when certain characters show up or reference events that happened in another series. This is part of the reason why fans were so tired, as they had to follow five different TV shows with tens of episodes in order to stay up to date on their favorite heroes.
